In this episode, I show how to make clear grip tape out of beach sand and some epoxy resin. I recently purchased a bamboo skateboard from @bambooskateboards and I loved the wood grain on the top of the deck so much, I couldn’t bring myself to cover it with grip tape. The beach sand grip tape is super grippy while allowing the bamboo’s natural beauty to shine through. There’s also a bonus in this video where I show how to use a palm frond and some spray paint to give a skate deck an organic, tropical vibe.
